Osiris was killed by a wooden sarcophagus. Those who killed him were jealous of Osiris's position as king. So they killed him to take his place. There was a party, where the coffin was offered to whoever could fit inside. Some people would would try to fit, however they couldn't. Osiris was encouraged to try, as he layed back the lid slammed on him and then got locked. With the led it was throwed into the Nile. As Osiris was gone, Isis set out to look for him. She was afraid without proper ceremonies and burial, Also afraid from the fact that Osiris would not be able to go to the place of the dead. She then figured out that the coffin had floated down the Nile River and up to the cost of Byblos. Osiris was resurrected. He could have proper ceremonies and burial.
